Teacher of Religious Education

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher of Religious Education to join a school in Hackney. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching RE to Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential. The school is a successful and vibrant academy situated in the heart of Hackney. We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships we have built with our students and the wider community.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
Create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
Work collaboratively with other members of the department to develop schemes of work and resources
Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience of teaching Religious Education to Key Stages 3 and 4
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching RE
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals
Commitment to high standards of professionalism and to the safeguarding and welfare of students
