Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant seeking a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference? We’re working on behalf of a vibrant Primary School based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and we’re on the lookout for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is an incredible opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your skills and passion for helping children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs will truly shine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support to students with SEMH needs, assisting with both academic and emotional development.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff members to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Offer one-on-one support and small group interventions as required, ensuring the well-being and progress of all students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both students and colleagues.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, coupled with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently when required.
