What is the REC Audited Education Accreditation?

One of our proudest accomplishments is our REC Audited Education status. In this blog, we’ll discuss why that should matter to your school.

One of our proudest accomplishments here at Bounce Teachers is our REC Audited Education status. In this blog, we’ll discuss why that should matter to your school.

What is REC Audited Education?
REC Audited Education replaced the Department for Education’s Quality Mark (QM) scheme in 2013. With safeguarding in mind, REC Audited Education follows the legacy of the Quality Mark and ensures agencies are carrying out the relevant checks when recruiting teaching and non-teaching staff.

Why use a REC Audited Education member?
Compliance and vetting are especially important for the education sector, as we must ensure that we provide children with a safe learning environment. We at Bounce Teachers are wholly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

By using us, you can rest assured that we have demonstrated the extra levels of compliance in order to pass the REC’s incredibly comprehensive audit and that child safety is the foundation for our values.

What areas does the REC audit cover?
Meeting the REC’s gold standard means that we strive to be an ethical recruitment business. Some of the areas covered in the REC audit to ensure this are:

  • Data Protection
  • Training and Induction
  • Complaints Procedure
  • Customer Service
  • Diversity
  • Work Seeker Checks
  • Advertising
  • Dealing with Clients

What checks do we carry out?
We perform extensive vetting and background checks to ensure that all of our teaching staff are compliant to work with children.

In order to meet the REC’s gold standard, we complete checks on the following:

  • Identity Check
  • Right to Work
  • DBS Check
  • Overseas Police Checks
  • Childcare Disqualification Requirements
  • Qualifications
  • TRA checks
  • Medical Declaration
  • Professional References
  • Face-to-Face Interview
  • Quality Management

Child protection and safeguarding has always been the top priority for Bounce Teachers. We’ll continue our comprehensive checks to ensure we provide a safe learning environment for all schools.
